On November 2, 2008, twenty-one wounded soldiers on R&R were honored at a dinner at the Fort Myers Beach American Legion.  They had a weekend of fun sponsored by the American Legion. Many of these veterans will be returning for another tour of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many have received a Purple Heart - some have received two and three Purple Hearts. We were honored to attend and show our support, but mostly to thank these brave soldiers.
